Configure basic connectivity and visibility rules.

  • Phone Number / Telegram ID: This is the core of your plugin. Enter the phone number associated with your Telegram account (e.g., +91987654321). This ensures that when a visitor clicks the chat button, they are instantly routed to the correct Telegram conversation.
  • Button Text: Customize the call-to-action text that appears alongside or on your chat button. The default is “Chat Us”, but you can tailor this to fit your brand’s voice (e.g., “Get Support”, “Ask a Question”).
  • Device Display Targeting: Control exactly where your chat widget appears. You can toggle visibility independently for Desktop, Mobile, and Tablet devices. This is incredibly useful if you only want to offer Telegram support to mobile users, or if you want a universal presence across all devices.
  • Page Targeting: Not every page needs a chat widget. This feature allows you to restrict the widget’s visibility. Choose to display it on the Entire Site, restrict it to the Homepage Only, or limit it strictly to Pages or Posts.
  • Business Hours: Avoid setting the wrong expectations. Define your operational hours (e.g., 09:00 to 21:00). The Telechat widget will automatically hide itself outside of these hours, ensuring customers only reach out when you are actually available to reply.
  • Open Delay: Instead of showing the widget the millisecond the page loads, you can set a delay (in seconds). A 5-second delay, for example, catches the user’s attention after they have had a moment to digest your page content.
